Dr. Emily Underwood

Dr. Underwood

Dr. Emily Underwood grew up in Clarkesville, Georgia. She graduated from Habersham Central High School before attending the University of Georgia, where she studied wildlife biology. She graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015, and she is very excited to be the proud new owner of Mill Creek Veterinary Hospital.

Areas of Interest

Dr. Underwood’s main area of interest is developing long-term relationships with clients and pets that enhance the human-animal bond. She is also interested in surgery and feline medicine. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Personal Life

Dr. Underwood is married to Stanley “Bo” Underwood, who also grew up in Habersham County. They have two cats, Xander and Darla. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, gardening, reading, cooking and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Amy Tolliver

Dr. Amy Tolliver grew up in Dalton, GA and attended the University of Georgia as an undergraduate, double majoring in Animal Science and Spanish. She then went on to study at UGA’s Veterinary School and graduated in 2015.
Dr. Tolliver is a certified fear free practitioner and is passionate about helping pets and owners experience as little stress and anxiety in the clinic as possible. She also has special interests in dentistry, behavior medicine and internal medicine.
Dr. Tolliver spends her spare time hiking with her beloved poodle Reena, gardening, and reading at home with her cat Oliver. She also enjoys cooking and travel to the surrounding north GA and NC mountains.
